CMC 91743 is a copper adhesive tape, which is equipped with an acrylate adhesive on one side. The adhesive used is electrically conductive, so after CMC 91743 is applied, the copper foil can create an electrical connection with the substrate. Therefore, the use of this copper adhesive tape is very common as shielding, e.g. in enclosures, because a very simple grounding of the shielding foil can be achieved via the adhesive. When used as EMC shielding, devices are protected against interference from electromagnetic waves, e.g. from cell phones. The acrylic adhesive is also very resistant to aging and can be used in a wide temperature range.
